Pulang Lupa Sunsets
For the sunset lovers,
January through April
bring to many evenings incredible spectacles
of a setting sun casting
its unpredictable palette of colors
on lingering clouds.
Don't waste it by wondering
on the science and the physics.
Sunsets are made for foolish romantics. . .
Alas, as I am one. Always ready,
with a glass of red
or a jigger of lambanog,
to welcome it, to ponder
the ephemeral beauty of the moment. . .
before bidding it adieu.
